The vivax varieties are giant hardy timber bamboos that reach spectacular size faster than any other bamboos here at Bamboo World.
Phyllostachys vivax resembles the plain green culms of Phyllostachys bambusoides except that it has thinner culm walls and there is a white powdery band beneath each node. Vivax is a good choice for eating and has nice large edible shoots.
